Standing Jobs

The San Luis Obispo Bicycle Club needs dedicated members who are willing to do the tasks that keep our club running. We are fortunate to have members volunteer to fill our Standing Jobs. Standing jobs carry over from year to year until such time as the volunteer notifies the Board that they wish to step down. Members are recruited by the Board to fill positions as standing jobs become open.

Jersey Designer

Members and friends have created the jersey designs we sell at our Wildflower and Lighthouse Century rides. Working with the Clothing Coordinator, all ideas for the upcoming century event will be finalized and presented to the club for selection of the one that will be produced. Selected designs become part of our Century Jersey History and as the designer you receive a free jersey.

If you are interested in developing a design:

Process Alternatives

A jersey design can be developed based on your drawing/art and computer skills. You can take advantage of any of the following process alternatives or combinations thereof.

  • If you are an artist, you can provide a high resolution photo of your artwork and the Clothing Coordinator will generate jersey design alternatives for you to review.
  • If you are a photographer, you can provide a high resolution photo and the Clothing Coordinator will generate jersey design alternatives for you to review.
  • If you can create a clear visual representation of your idea in any form and have identified the source if its parts, the Clothing Coordinator can work with you to generate the artwork and jersey design alternatives for you to review. This option takes additional lead time.
  • If you are knowledgeable in the use of Affinity Photos, Affinity Designer, Photoshop or Illustrator, the Clothing Coordinator can provide appropriate files that you can use to create your design.

Basic Jersey Design Requirements

Design elements may be created digitally or by using any art media or photography. All final design elements must be translated into digital form as either Affinity Photos, Affinity Designer, Illustrator or Photoshop files.

  • The design must work on jersey sizes from X-Small to 3X-Large – artwork is not adjusted for each jersey size.
  • Design elements that cross jersey seams (e.g., front to sleeve) will not align.
  • Any art/graphics used in a design must be the original work of the artist/designer or free public domain work or the rights for its use have been obtained.
  • Text must include the name of the century (e.g., Wildflower Century) and San Luis Obispo Bicycle Club.
  • The design must include the Voler logo on the front and back.
  • The SLOBC logotype must appear on the back of the collar.
  • The year must be placed on the inside of the collar. It may not appear anywhere else.
  • Keep all elements of a design in separate layers and/or files.
