On May 10, our friend, Joan Petersen, began her personal challenge to cycle from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic. To meet this challenge, she has chosen the Cross Roads cross country tour. In these pages you'll be able to follow her adventure.

Before the ride completes, Joan will travel through 13 states (California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, and Massachusetts) and ride 3,415 miles. The tour duration is 49 days (43 of which will include cycling between 20 and 116 miles per day).

Joan wants to thank everyone for the emails, phone calls and general encouragement. It meant a lot to her and helped her persevere.
