San Luis Obispo 2004 Brevet Series

Again this year we've laid out a set of Brevet Rides to be conducted in the area around San Luis Obispo County.  Again you can use our web site to register online, get information (including starting time, location and route) about each of the rides, find out who else is planning to participate, and get useful information about the San Luis Obispo area.

Before you sign up, you need to understand that these rides have been setup for ULTRADISTANCE cyclists. They are sanctioned, unsupported rides to help these cyclists prepare for the 1200K events.

Please note the RUSA membership requirement below.

We look forward to seeing familiar faces from the 2003 series and welcome any newcomers.  Please feel free to call us at (805) 995-1394 or email me with any questions.

Happy Trails-

Finally, please reveiw the set of RULES that apply to these rides. The following rule is highlighted

If American riders plan to qualify for PBP, it is necessary for them to -

  1. Be members of RUSA, the American sanctioning agency for domestic riders. All American riders must have their PBP application handled through RUSA.
  2. Have a valid RUSA membership number, prior to the first brevet of the season.

There will be no exceptions to these rules - if the rider is not a member of RUSA his/her PBP application will not be processed, and if the rider has no valid RUSA membership number, his/her brevets will not be certified for PBP qualification.
