Who We Are "Volamus ut Edamus, Edimus UT Volemus" (We Ride to Eat, we Eat to Ride). We are proud to call ourselves SLOBs. The San Luis Obispo Bicycle Club was founded to promote safe and legal riding of bicycles and to encourage bicycle riding as an accepted mode of transportation. Our club rides every day of the year. From Frequent Feeders on Wednesdays to Breakfast in Cayucos rides on Sundays, we accommodate every riding style and ability, which includes (occasional) mountain biking. We conduct two major rides each year. In April, we run the Wildflower Century through the scenic inland area around Creston. In September we produce the Lighthouse Century up Highway 1 along our beautiful coastline. Both rides are famous for the high quality of food provided. We welcome riders from all over the world to ride with us and enjoy the spectacular scenery of San Luis Obispo County. We welcome new members who share our love of bicycling and eating. As responsible bicyclists, we follow the same traffic rules that motorists do. We ride safely and legally and we expect our guests to do the same. |
