Frequently Asked Questions

What is the weather like?
The weather is usually cold in the morning but it can turn hot. If you have weather concerns, please refer to your local television or Internet weather forecast (ZIP code = 93432).  The ride will be held rain or shine.
Do you serve food at the rest stops?
Be prepared for world famous food in abundance at our numerous rest stops. This includes a buffet lunch during the ride and an after-ride BBQ dinner at Creston. Extra dinners for non-riders can be purchased for $7.00 at the event.
When can I get my registration material and merchandise I ordered?
Friday night between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., and Saturday morning between 6:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. at the Multipurpose Room of the Creston school.
When can we start riding?

Riders of the 100 mile century and the 75 mile ride may start riding between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.  The 50 mile riders may start between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. IF YOU START EARLY YOU MAY GET TO THE REST STOPS BEFORE THEY ARE OPEN.

What if we arrive late?
Riders starting late should consider shorter routes as the rest stops may close before they arrive, and the COURSE WILL CLOSE AT 5:00 PM. Stragglers will be offered a SAG ride to the start and will be on their own if they turn this down.
Where can I find the photos that were taken during the ride?
Event photographs are taken by PhotoCrazy (which has no affiliation with SLOBC). We will update this page to provide a link to their web site once they post the photographs for the ride. Currently photos for the 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003 and 2002 Wildflower Century are available at their web site.
How do you handle the registrations of tandems?
We register riders not bicycles on all of our rides. Consequently, each rider on a tandem needs to register separately.
