Wildflower Three-Quarter Century

You'll begin the day with some challenging climbs on Highway 229 and Parkhill Road. Then its down Huer Huero and out Highway 58 where you'll merge with the 50-mile route.

Shell Creek's wildflowers abound as you follow the road on a gradual descent toward the lunch stop in Shandon.

After lunch, you face your toughest challenge as you do the long (1.5% to 2.5%) ascent on highway 41 to the next water stop. Shortly after, you will reach the top of the hills, have wide-open views before you descend and pass the horse ranches on your return to Creston.

When you return to the BBQ, you will have added about 4,000-feet of climbing to your credits!
